Gerry was born and reared near Dundrum Co.Down which is a seaside village at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. He is 7th in a family of 12, 6 boys and 6 girls. He spent his early years working in Birmingham where he met his wife Bernadette from Co.Longfort after which they returned home to their native Co.Down where there are now resigning.
His inspiration for his singing/song writing came after a visit to the beautiful pilgrimage place of Medugorje in July 2008. After returning from Medugorje a week later Gerry decided to climb Croagh Patrick on reek Sunday where approx 40,000 pilgrims took part.
It was just after the climb of Croagh Patrick that Gerry wrote and composed his first song "Lady of the Reek" which is one of the first ever songs about Croagh Patrick. His next song "a little piece of heaven" Medugorje is now in three different languages his first album launch was just last year called "The times were in" has 6 of Gerrys own compositions.
He is now currently working on his new album which hopefully will be released in the late Summer.
